Official numbers at a glance
Lahore Electric Supply Company runs several contact channels, and each one is meant for a slightly different job. Using the right line first saves time, because a call centre agent can only register what their desk handles. The short code 118 is the national power helpline and is the quickest way to report a breakdown, sparking, a fallen conductor or a complete outage in your street. The toll-free line 0800-00118 reaches LESCO's customer service desk for billing, meter and supply complaints across Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib.
If you prefer text, you can send a short message with your reference number and a description of the problem to 8118. Written channels are useful when the lines are busy during a heatwave, because the message is logged even if nobody picks up straight away.

What CCMS is and how to use it
CCMS stands for Customer Complaint Management System. It is the online portal run by PITC, the government company that also produces your electricity bill, and it is shared by LESCO and the other distribution companies. Every complaint registered on the portal, and most complaints taken over the phone, receive a complaint ID that stays attached to your reference number until the case is closed.
The advantage over a phone call is the paper trail. You can see when the complaint was assigned to your subdivision, whether a line superintendent has visited and what remarks were entered when it was closed. If the problem comes back, you can quote the old complaint ID so the new case is treated as a repeat fault rather than a fresh one.
- Open the portal. Go to ccms.pitc.com.pk and choose the option to register a complaint.
- Verify yourself. Enter your 14-digit reference number or the mobile number registered on the connection. The system shows your name, address and feeder so you can confirm it is the right meter.
- Pick the complaint type. Choose the closest category — supply failure, billing, meter, voltage or other — and describe the problem in a sentence or two.
- Save the complaint ID. Write down or screenshot the ID shown on screen. An SMS confirmation is normally sent to your registered mobile number too.
Tracking a complaint you already registered
To follow up, open the same portal and search using the complaint ID or your reference number. The status moves from registered to assigned, then to in progress and finally to resolved or closed. A supply complaint is usually handled by the subdivision's complaint office within hours, while billing corrections go through the revenue office and can take one or two billing cycles to show on your bill.
If a complaint is closed without the problem being fixed, register a new one and mention the earlier ID in the description. When several complaints about the same issue go unanswered, you can escalate to NEPRA's consumer complaint system with the IDs as evidence — the regulator expects you to have tried the company first.
Details to keep ready before you call
Agents register complaints against a meter, not a person, so the first thing they ask for is the reference number. Having everything in front of you shortens the call and reduces the chance of the complaint going to the wrong office.
- The 14-digit reference number from any recent bill (our reference number guide shows where it is printed).
- The name the connection is registered in and the CNIC number, if the agent needs to verify ownership.
- A mobile number where you can receive the complaint ID by SMS.
- For billing problems: the bill month, the units charged and your own meter reading with a dated photo.
- For supply problems: when the fault started, whether neighbours are affected and any visible damage such as a burnt cable or tripped transformer.
- Any earlier complaint ID if this is a repeat fault.
Choosing the right line for your problem
Outage or safety hazard
Call 118 immediately. Do not touch a fallen wire or a sparking pole; keep children and animals away until the line staff arrive.
Wrong reading or overbilling
Use 0800-00118 or CCMS and attach a meter photo. Pay the undisputed part of the bill before the due date so a late payment surcharge is not added while the complaint is reviewed.
Meter fault, new connection or load change
Register the complaint for the record, then visit your subdivision office. Meter replacement and load changes need a written application that the call centre cannot complete for you.
Helpful tips
- Call outside the evening peak (roughly 6pm to 11pm in summer) when lines are less congested.
- Keep all complaint IDs in one note on your phone so you can quote them in any escalation.
- Update your mobile number on CCMS so status messages reach you.
Warnings & common mistakes
- LESCO staff never ask for payment to register or resolve a complaint. Report any such demand.
- Unofficial 'helpline' numbers circulating on social media are not LESCO lines — use only the numbers listed here or printed on your bill.
