Open Advanced CalculatorHow the LESCO bill calculator works
The LESCO bill calculator applies NEPRA's residential slab structure to the units you enter, then adds government levies to produce a final estimate. Charges are computed slab-by-slab — every unit in the 1–100 range is priced at the lifeline rate, the 101–200 slab at the next tier, and so on. Once the energy cost is known, Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA), quarterly adjustment, GST, electricity duty, TV fee and — for higher bills — income tax are added on top.
- 1Multiply units in each slab by that slab's per-unit tariff to get energy cost.
- 2Add the per-kWh FPA published by NEPRA for the current billing month.
- 3Add the quarterly tariff adjustment (may be zero if none is active).
- 4Add 18% GST on the sub-total (protected consumers are exempt).
- 5Add 1.5% electricity duty and the fixed Rs 35 PTV licence fee.
- 6Add income tax at the applicable slab if the bill exceeds Rs 25,000.
Fixed charges you always pay
Regardless of your consumption, a LESCO monthly bill includes a Rs 35 PTV licence fee and a meter rent of Rs 10–25 depending on meter type. Sanctioned load above 5kW adds a fixed charge per kW. These items are baked into the estimate this calculator produces.
