LESCO Complaint Guide

Everything you need to file a LESCO complaint — helpline numbers, written process and how to escalate to NEPRA if your complaint isn't resolved.

Step-by-step process

Step 1

Note down your reference number

Keep your 14-digit LESCO reference number and a clear description of the issue ready before filing the complaint.

Step 2

Call the LESCO helpline

Dial 118 for power outage and billing complaints. For emergencies (sparking wires, broken poles) call WAPDA 1199.

Step 3

Submit a written complaint

Visit the nearest LESCO Customer Services Center or use the official LESCO complaint portal to register a formal complaint.

Step 4

Track your complaint number

Save the complaint tracking number you receive — it's required for follow-ups and escalation to NEPRA if unresolved.

Common complaint categories

Overbilling / wrong slab

If your units jumped without reason or the slab applied looks wrong, request a meter reading verification.

Power outages

Frequent or extended outages can be reported on the LESCO helpline and the WAPDA 1199 emergency line.

Meter problems

Faulty, stuck or damaged meters should be reported in writing along with photos if possible.

New connection delays

Track your application via the LESCO website and escalate to the SDO if it crosses the SLA.

Voltage fluctuation

Low or high voltage damages appliances — request a transformer load check in writing.

Staff / behaviour

Misconduct by linemen, meter readers or counter staff can be reported to the SDO and XEN.

Not getting a response?

If LESCO doesn't resolve your complaint within the promised time, you can escalate it to NEPRA's Consumer Affairs Department. Keep your complaint tracking number and copies of all written correspondence.
